How to Make Blueberry Body Scrub

How to Make Blueberry Body Scrub

Time to make a new batch of body scrub, using natural ingredients!

All of my other scrubs lasted for 2 months sitting on my bathroom counter, without being refrigerated! What a bonus, they may have lasted longer, but I used them up! See my other recipes…Sugar Cookie Body ScrubCucumber White Tea Body ScrubSpearmint Rose Petal Body Scrub, Strawberry Lemonade Body Scrub, Lemon Spearmint Body Scrub and DIY Brown Sugar Honey Foot Scrub.

Blueberries are in season and I wanted to definitely make a scrub using them!  So, how to make blueberry body scrub using real blueberries?!?

Blueberries are filled with antioxidants and vitamin C, vitamin A and vitamin E.  Great for adding to your skin!

1/2 cup white sugar

4 tbsp. coconut oil Viva Naturals Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, 16 Ounce)

about 14 smashed blueberries

(don’t have fresh blueberries – try using (BLUEBERRY SEED OIL. 100 % Natural Cold Pressed Carrier oil. 0.33 Fl.oz.- 10 ml. For Skin, Hair, Lip and Nail Care. “It is one of nature’s most potent antioxidants. Rich in vitamin A, B complex, C, E, and Omega 3”.)

optional  –  3-5 drops Berries and Cream Fragrance oil (Berries & Cream Fragrance Oil – Premium Grade Scented Oil – 30ml)

Put into a container and you are ready to use to exfoliate your tired body parts. Just rub into your skin– rinse with warm water and towel dry. That simple. Great for using on your feet or hands or anywhere!

The recipe makes more than enough for a few uses. This should allow for at least 14 applications – depending on how many body parts you exfoliate! Remember you can refrigerate or leave on your bathroom counter. My scrubs last at least 2 months sitting out with no refrigeration (results may vary).

Keep for yourself or give as a gift!

I love the idea of making my own body scrubs because they use ingredients you already have in your pantry or garden and because every ingredient in it is all natural – no weird things that you don’t know what they are or how to pronounce them!
