DIY Heart Pockets – Valentine’s Day
What a sweet little gift to give this Valentine’s Day!
These little DIY Heart Pockets are so cute and easy to make and you can hide a favorite little treat inside. These would be great for your children to pass out at school to their friends or teachers or for you to pass out to your co-workers!
Start by picking your favorite papers and putting them right sides together and trace and cut out a heart (I used a clip art I found on the internet). My hearts measure about 5″ tall and 5″ across.
I love and always use Roylco Decorative Papers.
Put your hearts right sides together and start punching holes – I spaced mine about 1/2″ to 3/4″ apart.
Starting at the bottom of the heart, whipstitch up one side leaving an opening at the top. My yarn was about 60″ long.
Whip stitch the other side. If doing this with kids – I tell them to stitch up from the bottom and pull it through – that is the pattern to follow.
Fill the heart with your favorite treat(s).
Whip stitch the rest of the holes closed and tie with a bow – ready to give this lovely gift!
