Strawberry Lemonade Body Scrub
Strawberry Lemonade so delicious and refreshing!
Who knew that you could make a body scrub that smells just like strawberry lemonade and is refreshing for your body! I didn’t until I experimented with another body scrub recipe. I thought to myself…what can I put in a scrub…thought strawberries would be awesome and added a little lemon for some zing!
1/2 cup white sugar
4 tbsp. coconut oil (Viva Naturals Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, 54 Ounce)
3-5 drops lemon essential oil (NOW Lemon Oil, 4-Ounce)
I took 2 frozen strawberries and used a grater to grate them up – this way I didn’t have large chunks in my scrub. Worked pretty good, just make sure to transfer from grater to bowl quickly to avoid too much melting!
My daughters just love the way this scrub smells, this is their most favorite one so far. One of my daughters decided to scrub her whole body with it and came out of the shower all moisturized and smelling wonderful!
Put into a container and you are ready to use to exfoliate your tired body parts. Just rub into your skin– rinse with warm water and towel dry. That simple. Great for using on your feet or hands or anywhere!
The recipe makes more than enough for a few uses. This should allow for at least 12 applications – depending on how many body parts you exfoliate! My recipe for Brown Sugar Honey Foot Scrub was 1/2 the size of this recipe and I was able to exfoliate my feet about 6 times. I also made a Spearmint Rose Petal Scrub that I think smells absolutely refreshing with fresh spearmint and rose petals.
Keep for yourself or give as a gift!
I love the idea of making my own body scrubs because they use ingredients you already have in your pantry or garden and because every ingredient in it is all natural – no weird things that you don’t know what they are or how to pronounce them!
