Easy Color Wheel
This Color Wheel is way easier than it looks!
So simple, draw once, make copies…color!
I used a blank triangle clip art – had students draw their design inside the triangle with pencil – outline with permanent marker and then I made them each 6 copies. I kept each child’s original drawing, so I could make more copies if they happened to mess up on one of them.
We colored the copies using markers, crayons, colored pencils and permanent markers, that way we had lots of color choices.
Cut out and assemble.
Very simple. When my students saw my example they thought it was going to be very difficult, but when they found out they only had to draw one time, they felt less overwhelmed and were excited to begin coloring.
I tried this project out with my 4th, 5th and 6th graders and it worked good for all levels. I think this project would also be great if tied in with a zentangle lesson…maybe I will try that next year!
